Big Crowds Expected at the Palm Springs International Airport.

Big Crowds Expected at the Palm Springs International Airport! Are you flying to the Palm Springs area within the next few days to enjoy the Holidays in the warm Desert? Well, you won’t be the only one. Palm Springs International Airport expects 35,000 travelers will fly out during the Holiday period, and 8,000 could be flying out on December 23rd, which would make the 23rd the busiest travel day during the Holidays.

According to the Executive Director of Aviation, Harry Barret, “We’re planning for a very busy holiday season this year. “We recently had our busiest Thanksgiving, and we’re expecting travel for Christmas and New Year’s to be record-setting, too. We’re asking travelers to plan ahead and arrive early, so they don’t miss their flight.” (Coachella Valley Times)

Palm Springs International Airport officials are requesting travelers flying out arrive two and a half hours early. If you plan to take your car to the airport and leave, you may want to consider a ride-share service to the airport should the parking lots fill up.

“The airport is going to be very busy this holiday season,” Barret said. “We’ve expanded our overflow lot and added over 100 spaces to accommodate growing demand, but we also ask travelers to consider taking alternate forms of transportation to the airport because we expect demand for parking to exceed the capacity of our lots.”

Let me know when you’re here in the Desert!! I would love to make time to get together.
