October is National Fire Prevention Month in Coachella Valley and has the theme of “Fire won’t wait. Plan your Escape.” It’s critically important to have a fire escape plan in place for your home in La Quinta, Indian Wells, Palm Desert, and Rancho Mirage and surrounding communities for all family members – and practice it regularly.
The Palm Springs City Council is Pausing New Short-Term Rental Permits until November 30th to reflect and rework rental rules. The Council wants to focus on who qualifies for the short-term rental permits since the original rental rules went into effect in 2017 and a lot has changed since then.

Additional Funds added to the DWA Turf Conversion. I recently posted about turf conversion rebates from the Desert Water Agency (DWA), due to the extreme drought (and it doesn’t seem to be letting up anytime soon), the Coachella Valley Water District is offering a rebate program to remove your green grass which needs water to survive with native plants or astro turf.

Have you installed a Video Doorbell yet? Inexpensive ones are quite easy to install and do a very good job letting you know when someone is at your door or dropping off a package. But are those “enough”?
