Living in Palm Springs is So Worth It!

Living in Palm Springs is So Worth It!

Living in the Palm Springs area is certainly worth it, especially during the winter months. With our 360+ days of sunshine and the activities throughout Coachella Valley, it is certainly paradise.

How much does it cost living in the Desert?

There is a cost-of-living index used to estimate the cost of living throughout the United States – C2ER Cost of Living Index. This index includes 60 goods and services broken down into six categories: food, housing, utilities, transportation, health, and miscellaneous items.

Since the cost of living can vary greatly between areas, you may want to know how much difference there is before you buy or visit the area.

In general, the Palm Springs area living expenses are 50% higher than the national average; however, healthcare in the area ranks 3% lower.

Here is a fun little calculator to estimate what differences you could see between where you live and Coachella Valley. Mind you, these are only estimates and as we know, inflation is taking its toll on our finances.

But it’s what we have that keeps us coming back or keeps us here all year long.

Who else has Coachella and Stagecoach, Modernism Week, Palm Springs International Film Festival, BNP Paribas Open, The American Express (a favorite stop on the PGA Tour) and The Chevron Championship, Palm Springs Festival of Lights, the Joshua Tree Music Festival, as well as local sites and Five-Star restaurants?

We are truly a wonderful place to live and worth every penny.

Our real estate market in the Palm Springs and La Quinta area is still going strong. There are homes in the Desert to be purchased, but it’s worth working with a life-long real estate professional who knows and loves the Desert to find them. Give me a call today and let’s check out where you want to live.
